Excellent stay for our first visit to Agia Efimia. What a lovely hostess. Very comfortable and clean. Good location and very quiet except the lovely lady next door who entertained us with her singing. Goat bells on the hill. We were upgraded into a one bed from a studio which was particularly nice. And were even driven to Sami for our ferry to Ithaca on our last day since there is no bus on a Saturday. The price was very good.

This facility has spacious rooms decorated a little like the 70s but comfortable and clean and the position is perfect being only two blocks from the Main Street and easy access to beautiful swimming. The host was friendly and suggested many sites form her photo album. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the island. It is also exceptional value.

What a truly great place to stay as a base for exploring this beautiful island. The apartments are comfortable, exceptionally clean and are well equipped to enable one to self cater if necessary. However, a wide selection of restaurants, bars ( and of course, beaches) are within easy walking distance. The hostess/owner Mirka is extremely helpful and obliging and ensures that your stay at her apartment block leaves you refreshed and relaxed. I would definitely recommend this accommodation and will without doubt return to it.

We liked this apartment a lot. First of all, it is a very good place to stay in Cefalonia. On my opinion, the north part of the island is not overcrowded with a tourists and is very beautiful. You have very nice lonely beaches just minutes away. The very nice and famous Mirtos beach is easy achieved by a car. Actually it was our big destination almost each day. You might think, that there are other places to stay not very far away from that beach, but you have to calculate, that the island is not flat and it takes a lot of time to get from other places to Mirtos beach. Another very nice beach - Antisami is also not far away. The north part like Dafnoudi and Embilissi beaches as well as Fiscardo are not far away. The very nice place - Assos is also in that area. You have a very huge advantage - you can see the sunrise in Agia Efimia and the sunset for example in Assos. And two caves are also in that area, what is a huge plus.
In Agia Efimia you wouldn't found a lot of shopping, but all you need is just minutes away. Tasty sweets in the local pastry shop, good restaurants and markets - everything you need. As well as some additional stuff which we didn't use like rent a boat and so on.
And of course I'd love to add my review on apartment itself. It was clean and cosy. The owner Mirka is a very open, nice, lovely person. She gave us some advices about the places and the island. She suggested really important information for us. Also we could use the sun umbrella, ask everything we need. To be honest, it was really good! I would definetely recommend this apartment.

Fantastic value for money! Agia Efemia is the perfect centre to explore Kefalonia. Alexatos was impeccably clean and within walking distance of everything. The only problem we had was that we thought that we would get a 2 bedroom apartment, but the kitchen was not separate and 2 of us had to sleep in the kitchen/ living area. The owners/ managers were very friendly and helpful.

Stayed in Agia Efimia at Alexatos apt. for two weeks in June. First of all special thanks to our host Mirka who was very friendly and helpful. 
The owners care a lot about the cleanness of the building and the rooms.
The road to the sea takes about 3-5 minutes. The beach is made of fine pebble so the water is always very clean and transparent. The beach is not very wide, just about 4 m width.
We have rented the car at the agency round the corner and travelled along the island.
The kitchen is fully occupied, we bought the products in the nearby supermarket. However from time to time we felt too lazy to cook so we lunched at the restaurants at the sea front.
To cut the long story short the apartments are a perfect choice if you prefer the family ruled hotels, don't mind to cook and would like to do a lot of sightseeing.

We've stayed 7 nights at Alexatos Studios beginning of July 2012 and were very impressed with the place. It is well located in Agia Efimia, the studios are spacious and well equipped with kitchenette, TV, AC, bathroom and have nice balconies with 2 seats coffee table. They are also very clean ( cleaning takes place every other day). The owner, Mirka, is a very nice and welcoming host and supports her customers with information about the island and many other things they need. 
I would gladly recommend this place to anyone visiting Kefalonia because it is great value for the money and is situated in the closest touristic village to the famous Myrtos Beach.

This days in kefalonia for me was very very nice, the Alexatos estudios place and people of Efthimia village was really friendly with us. In this small apartament we had oportuninity to cook, to relax, is very confortable and in good localization. The small village Efthimia is very beautiful between mountains and blue blue sea.. The island offer to us a lot of amazing views, very clean sea and magic beach and by car is very easy to travel around, we can found a lot of animals for a while in the green forest. For holidays was a dream or like my friends call, the paradise in Greece. Everything was perfect! :) I am really glad to came there in April even the weathder it wasn 't the best! Thank you kefalonia for everything :)

We stay here every year- reasons being that the owner of hotel is so kind and she will do anything for you. The hotel itself is lovely, very clean and spacious rooms.
We stayed here last summer for 2 weeks- the location is perfect. Close to shops and beach and if you need any help with directions, hire car etc- they will be happy to assist. 
We are getting married in Agia Efimia next June and we will be staying here for the preparations, most of our family will also be staying here too. I cannot say how lovely this Hotel is and how friendly. Every time we have been here we have needed to use internet or washing machine, it is never a problem. Last year we have even left our holiday clothes with the hotel (which have been kindly washed and kept for us!) If that isnt a service, I dont know what is. Kefalonia is a stunning place and a definate holiday location for families and couples, if you need accomadation, stay here! Great value for money, clean, great location and extremely helpful owners. 

We shall see you next year!

Agia Efimia is the best place to stay in Kefalonia: its position, in the middle of the island and very close to the beautiful Myrtos Beach is the best to visit all island. Alexatos apartments are very very clean!!! Every 2 days all the apartment was cleaned. I wish to return ASAP in Kefalonia and, surely, at the Alexatos Studios!!! SEE YOU SOON

Very nice appartment: clean, new, calm, 5 minutes walk from the sea shore. The owner is extremely friendly and nice, always ready to help and to give an advice. The place is also very convenient and close to the most sights (Milessani lake, Dorogatty cave, Mirtos beach etc.). Would like to recommend this appartment to everyone who is going to visit Kefalonia.

Awesome geo location, close to Myrthos beach and the North side of the island where the most wild beaches are allocated. If you're beaches hunter, this is definitely the right choice.

Aggia Effimia was the perfect base in Kefalonia and Alexatos Studios could not have been any better: Mirka is the sweetest, more helpful person you could possibly meet and she gave us many great tips about beaches, restaurant and things to do on the island that we wouldn't have known otherwise. The apartment was lovely, with a comfortable bed and everything we needed. We also had breakfast on the little balcony every morning and it was simply idyllic. We can't wait to go back to Mirka and Alexatos Studios!

I loved these apartments. They were very clean and comfortable and were furnished tastefully. The owner was exceptionally helpful and always smiling :). The apartments are a few minutes walk to the beaches, bars and restaurants and are ideally located for touring around this beautiful island. I couldn't fault any of it. GREAT!

We had a very warm welcome from the owner and even though we had a small issue with the first apartment offered we were moved with no fuss or hassle and the apartment we had was perfect for our needs. Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean and well maintained. I would recommend these studios to anyone wanting a reasonable priced, comfortable and friendly place to stay

Toda a estrutura é muito boa, apartamentos completos, com cozinha toda equipada. Ótimo para passar dois dias ou dois meses. A cidade de Agia Effimia é bem localizada entre os pricipais pontos turisticos e as melhores praias. A região é super agradável. Recomendo, ótimo relação custo/benefício.
Para poder visitar o que vale a pena na cidade é necessário alugar um carro/moto, sem ele você praticamente não se move em Kefalonia.

La proprietaria è molto gentile e fornisce tutte le informazioni necessarie per ottimo soggiorno. Ci hanno dato un appartamento grande e pulito, siamo rimasti tre notti e ci hanno cambiato gli asciugamani due volte. Agia Efimia e' un paese piccolo e tranquillo, vicino alle spiaggie che ci sono piaciute di più. Caldamente consigliato!

 "Appartamenti curati in centro di Agia Efimia"

Camere piccole ma molto ben curate e pulite, proprietaria sempre presente in reception e dipsonibile a fornire info e suggerimenti. Posizione ottima sia per rimanere nei pressi di Agia Efimia (spiagge e taverne raggiungibili a piedi), sia per girare il nord dell'isola in auto.

Liked: We loved every aspect of the accommodation and property. We especially liked the balcony area and the room. It was everything we needed for a self catering holiday; we had a stove, fridge, en suite, air conditioning and our room was cleaned every other day (which was a pleasant surprise!). The owners were so friendly and interested in how we spent our days and evenings, anything we needed they would do their upmost to aid us.
Disliked: i can fault nothing.

Liked: It was clean and fresh and the kitchen was well stocked. We arrived late and the owner stayed up to welcome us. She was very friendly and gave us lots of information about the island. We were provided clean towels and the room was cleaned regularly. The area is lovely and close to everything you could need. Would definately stay here again.

Liked: These apartments were in an amazing area, short walk down to the beach, We stayed in apartments at the bottom of the building so unfortunately didn't have a sea view, most apartments had terraces. But being on holiday we hardly spent time in the apartment and when other rooms became available we were offered to switch but declined. Everything you need to cook with is available and cleaning was done daily. Sheets and towels were also changed regularly. The owner was nice and friendly and made our stay very enjoyable.

HOLIDAYS WATCHDOG

My husband and I stayed at the Alexatos Apartments in Agia Efimia. The owner Alexatos emailed me all the details and basically organised everything from pick up at the airport, to car hire (Nikos Car Hire- excellent service), recommended boat hire (Yellow Boat) and things to do and gave us maps and local knowledge!



His apartments were clean and tidy with plenty of room, they were a 5-7 minute walk from the centre and water's edge but in a very quiet jasmine scented street with beautiful views from the balcony to pine clad hills. Every day, when passing, Alexatos checked to ensure everything was ok, it was so re-assuring, especially as we had no rep (we saw more of him than we ever would a rep!). 



The people in the village were so friendly, we ate at Pergolas most nights as the food was superior and the chefs/ owner, who would regularly say hello was an excellent cook. We went every night for a drink to a small taverna/cafe on the corner of the Town hall street, watched Greeks play backgammon and enjoyed the views of the bay and the to-ing and fro-ing of the harbour - the 2 Greek brothers who owned the place were unbelievably friendly and kind- but then everyone was. 



The resort was a 15 minutes drive from the famous and stunning Captain Corelli beach - Myrtos and the famous pier was also just up from the resort. The apartments cater for all ages, American teenagers, families, OAP’s and cyclists stayed while we were there (we are in our early 30's). It is the best resort to stay while visiting the island. The north- Fiscardo/Asso only about 30 mins away are beautiful, but small. 



This has been our 10th Greek island visit and now Kefalonia is my favorite island - I hope it remains unspoiled. A friendly, peaceful place - not one for the lager louts or disco heads. We visited last week May first June and saw a beautiful island with hot but bearable weather and not overcrowded.
